Spring season – week ten: the lowdown

by | Dec 24, 2019 | News

And the winner is..

Week ten and our spring season is now finished, with grand final scores flowing in over the past two weeks.

Thank you for taking part, playing some great games and making the Oz Tennis Leagues community what it is.

We are now going to take a short break for Christmas and New Year and then our summer season will start in January.

Grand final highlights

With so many of our grand finals going to three sets it was pretty hard to pick our highlights, but here goes..

Adelaide Tennis League, Division 1 – Keith Stephens vs Syahaz Shamsubahri, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4

Keith and Syahaz saved the very best for last, with a super tight three setter in division 1 of our Adelaide Tennis League.

“Always a pleasure playing Shaz! Great match, could have gone either way, I think I may have handled the wind a bit better!

Thanks to Oztennis league for bring us all out, was a really good season! Thanks Keith

Melbourne South East Tennis League, Division 1 – Daan Jansen vs Shaun Ashenden, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4

After what was a super close regular season with the top 2 going right down to the wire on the final week, this was a fitting final to finish off the season.

“Shaun played very strong and we had many very long rally’s. He completely over ran me in the second but I managed to pull through in the third.

After what seemed a 15 minute game at 4-4 I managed to break him and serve it out.Daan

Congratulations to everyone above and to all our grand finalists. Check out your league now to see our top quotes from every group 🙂
